Modern society and mainstream religion places huge emphasis on body image. The way we present ourselves in public can reveal our attitudes to sex and to social and religious rules of human attraction. Some modern women believe that choosing to expose their flesh is empowering, while some mainstream religious voices promote covering up as the best way to protect ourselves and demonstrate self-respect.
