Social nudity stares and body acceptance

No one stares, no one cares: Boosting body confidence through nakedness

He was so very nervous about trying group nudity and got more and more nervous on the way there. When we got to the pool he just looked so worried so I kept telling him that he didn’t have to do it if he didn’t want to and he was insistent that he wanted to, so I gave him encouragement and support as best I could.

And when he got in the pool, he was absolutely fine. He got a little nervous about talking to people and clung to my side a little bit but when I started to talk to others he joined in and within a short time seemed rather more relaxed. The evening went on, we chatted and swam and then  a few of us went to the pub. He certainly came out of his shell then, and was chatting away to people happily.

Yes I definitely would go to another nudist event, if some of those I met at the swim were there. By having been introduced to others I know I would feel more comfortable now. I would really recommend it to anyone else with serious body confidence issues as being in a group of others with my back out has always been my worst nightmare. I won’t even take my top off at the beach. But there were others there with other body issues and of all different shapes and sizes. The swim has really helped me feel better in my body  and I would recommend it to others, especially the pub afterwards!”
