Actually, on reflection, the worst was that I could have lost my job. Like most of the other ‘temporary’ contracts I’ve had over the years, this one could be ended at any time with no reason, so if they decided they didn’t like me any more I would be out at the end of the month. But I needn’t have worried.
When I got in, my colleagues, male and female, were all at one end of the room looking at a monitor. I immediately knew that they were looking at my site and braced myself for the comments, but what happened was completely unexpected. They actually approved. They liked the site, liked what I was doing, and had no problems with flicking through page after page of photographs of me wearing no more than a pair of sunglasses.
