2013 the year for clothes free on TV
“Naked and Afraid” was the No. 2-watched show among men on Sundays, when new episodes aired. And yet, despite the butt shots and blurred-out frontal views, the show is not titillating. It has more of a science project feel to it: How will a muscled but fair-skinned dude survive on a tropical island without sunscreen or anything to protect his most delicate anatomy? Not well, my friends. Not well.
Not to be outdone, TLC debuted a two-part series last month (testing the waters, one presumes) called “Buying Naked,” which is basically “House Hunters” for nudists.
