another example of the social distortion of nudity
Of course there is an element of philanthropy involved and I applaud anyone who raises money for charity. Even more so, I applaud those who do something I don’t think I could do myself; climb a mountain, swim across a sea, cycle from London to Paris, that sort of thing.
But getting naked? Everyone can do that. Not everyone would want to, but everyone can. And sex sells. It sells very well. So frankly, isn’t taking your clothes off in front of a camera, dare I say it, a rather lazy way of making money? We are supposed to be the brightest young things that this country has to offer; can we not think of something a little more innovative?
