clothes free yoga class report
When you sign up for Bold & Naked yoga, you have to fill out a form vetting your motivations (“Why did you respond to Bold & Naked?”) before they’ll send you the address of the studio. The hardest to answer was body type, as the only options given were slim, toned, athletic, and muscular. Lacking “It’s Complicated” or “Lena Dunham-esque,” I chose “other.” This is all a very long way of saying that the crowd at naked yoga looks fantastic without clothes on.
The instructor leads all dozen or so naked yogis through a traditional, if basic, 75-minute Vinyasa class: some cat-cow spine arches, sun salutations, standing poses, balances and twists, backbends, and a shoulder stand. There is music, though when “Sexual Healing” started to come on during Savasana (quiet time), the teacher skipped it and put on Krishna Das.
