Nudists want a bigger beach after storms took away their pebbles
Nudists have applied to increase the length of beach they are allowed to strip off on after winter storms washed away their pebbles, leaving a flat surface beneath.
Naturists have been allowed to use a stretch of Budleigh Beach, west of Steamer Steps, but in recent months have had to endure a hard, clay surface to sit on.
But town mayor Courtney Richards, 72, said the nudists must stay the full 500 yards away from the general public.
