Nudefest 2016: Martock artist Janie Burnett-Bleach to welcome nudists to nature garden
Janie said: “The organisers of Nudefest were looking for attractions in the local area which people could visit. They called us up and said that they would like to come around the garden, and we said we’d be happy to have them here.”
The garden has been a labour of love for Janie’s father, Chris Burnett, who began planting up the 22-acre site to benefit local wildlife in the early-1970s.
The garden is open from 10am each day all year round, with adults £4 each to explore in the summer and £2.50 each in the winter.
Janie said: “A representative from Nudefest came out and he really liked the feel of it. We’ll be closing it off to the public during the morning that they are here – they didn’t request that, but we want people to enjoy the garden safely.”
The nudists will visit the garden from 10am to 1pm on July 7, before heading back to the campsite where up to 20 of them can take part in Janie’s workshop.
