The World Naked Bike Ride is back in Manchester and is celebrating its tenth anniversary

Hundreds of cyclists set to strip off for naked bike ride

Hundreds of cyclists are again set to strip off and pedal through the streets of Manchester .

The World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) has become a regular feature in the city’s social calendar and is this year celebrating its tenth anniversary.

And organisers say they will again ditch their clothes for the special event aimed at raising awareness of the danger of cycling and the ‘car centric culture’ in the city.

Last year more than 300 people took part in the event, part of the North West Velo festival.

Scheduled for Friday, June 10, this year’s ride will again begin at All Saints on Oxford Road.

The route will then take the naked riders right through Manchester city centre passing key landmarks such as Albert Square, the Northern Quarter and Canal Street, before finishing back at Oxford Road.
