Nudist camp ‘barely’ deals with heat, misconceptions
The owners of Indian Hills Nudist Park offered us an invitation to visit and get the “naked truth” on how they deal with the soaring mercury at their park near Slidell, the only nudist park in Louisiana.
We accepted the invitation.
If you are wearing clothes–and I was!– you are likely to be the one feeling a little uncomfortable as you arrive at Indian Hills, with its pastoral grounds and lake teeming with ducks, turtles and an assortment of people wearing no clothes. It’s called “social nudity.”
Under a brutal July sun, stripping down to the birthday suit and jumping into the pool is a good way to cool off, and the owners keep residents and visitors supplied with hydration.
