Human Rights, Gender Equality and Nudism

Human Rights, are the rights attached to a person since he was born. United Nations, in Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) affirms that every individual is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration with no exceptions whatsoever, including gender differences (UDHR article 2). Thus, every basic right of every human being is entitled to be obtained by any individual, without excluding the basic rights of another individual.

Once we know what human rights are, then we turn to gender equality. What is gender quality? Gender equality is achieved when women enjoy the same rights and opportunities across all sectors of society, including economic participation and decision-making, and when the different behaviors, aspirations and needs of women and men are equally valued and favored. In other words, human rights and gender equality are closely intertwined, because they concern human basic rights. What distinguishes it is, in gender equality, more pursed again concerning women and men.

As a nudist, I see that nudism, in fact, indirectly speaks of human rights and gender equality. In nudism, we believe that all human beings are equally created beings of God. Nudism also teaches that everyone is good, that is. The well-meaning is, the human body, where there is no bad human body. Everything is beautiful, because the human body is God’s gift. Whatever your body shape is, it is a gift that God gives you. Therefore, no human person can be excommunicated or insulted simply because of the differences that exist in his body.

Of the three things I have outlined above, we can take the equation that human rights, gender equality and nudism both speak about human equality. The equation in question is the equation of human degrees. Human rights regulate equality in general, gender equality is more pursed to women and men, and nudism is more to remove the exclusion and humiliation of human beings based on that person’s body. Therefore, actually nudism itself also plays a role in the enforcement of human rights. Nudism is no longer just a naked lifestyle, but nudism is more to the doctrine of mutual respect for human basic rights.
