Artists and nude models tap into creativity at the pub (via ABC News)

A chicken schnitzel, a glass of wine and some nude figure drawing; just a Monday night tradition at this pub.

This will be only the second time Lulu has attended the life drawing group that meets at the Friend in Hand Pub in Glebe.

Although she had three years of modelling experience in art spaces, there was hesitation when she initially answered a call to pose at the licensed venue.

“I was nervous. I wasn’t sure about where the class would be held,” Lulu said.

“I was curious as to what kind of crowd it would bring and if that would affect my position as a model.

“It’s a vulnerable position enough to be getting naked in front of a group of strangers and presenting yourself in that way, let alone people who have been drinking.”
