“We’ve all got the same bits,” says the organiser
Bottoms up! The Chelmsford Naked Bike Ride is coming back and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever.
This is the fourth year of the “clothing optional” event and the organisers have seen it growing in popularity every year.
The free bike ride sees cyclist strips off and follow a route around the city. Almost all of the cyclists are naked but a few choose to ride in shorts or a bikini.
The Chelmsford Naked Bike is part of the World Naked Bike Ride movement, which organises hundreds of similar events across the globe. Its main aim is to promote environmental concerns about car pollution as well as highlighting positive body image and the freedom to not wear clothes.
