My South African Naturist Experience

IN SHORT – HERE FOLLOWS MY NATURIST EXPERIENCE IN SOUTH AFRICA

I am a naturist but foremost a Christian, saved by grace through Jesus Christ, my Lord. I became a Christian almost 40 years ago (1976) I was introduced into naturism about 20 years ago.
I believe I can live my life as Christian and as naturist without any compromise. I strive to live an honest and moral upright live, according to the Word of God the Bible. I believe there are nakedness that is neutral (acceptable) and nakedness that are wrong and sinful. I will not go nude at places and in front of people where I could offend them.
God created Adam and Eve; they walked around naked, also in the presence of God without any shame. After their disobedience to God they sinned and their nakedness became a reminder of their disobedience. In Christ Jesus our sins are washed away if we accept His sacrificial offering for our sins, by declaring our faith in Him.
There are a number of other websites, where you can study, nudity in the Bible in its context; I shall refrain from repeating this info here. (See the links at the bottom of the page)
I was introduced into naturism by my hubby. One weekend he took met to Beau Valley, a naturist resort in the Northern Transvaal in South Africa. As we drove into the resort and I saw a number of people walking around totally naked, I was shocked. It took a while before I had the courage to remove my clothes. After a while I felt comfortable when I realised that naturism has nothing to do with sex. Do naturists have sex? Yes, but just as any other person, rugby players, golfers, teachers, etc. I personally believe that sex is given by God to be practised between a husband and wife. I do respect the views of others, and likewise I would like them to respect mine.

Grace Christian Naturist Church of Eden (Second Life)

Second Life is not for everyone, but once you have taken the time to learn how the software works, there is a wide wonderful world to explore. Some regions better than others….Grace Christian Naturist Church is located on a huge SL Naturist Resort that understands and enforces the concept of Good Nudity.

Grace Christian Naturist Church is a fellowship of like minded believers in Second Life. Second Life is a 3d virtual reality where people interact online. Our location in Second Life is designed to provide a quite location for fellowship and worship. This is not a location for virtual sex or the like. Any lewd behavior or sexual advances will lead to removal from this land.

We are a Christian group that believes the Good News of Jesus Christ. The Truth that He died for us to pay for our sins and that if we believe in Him was are saved. We are also naturists that enjoy the comfort of simple non-sexual nudity. Many of us practice nudity in real life, socially and or at home. While others only practice it here in Second Life (SL).

Author tackles positive Christian view of nudity

Blind Catholic Author Uses Bible to Back up Nakedness in 'Nudity & Christianity'

“Nudity & Christianity,” his 596-page compendium of scripture citations and selectively-chosen observations by the likes of Pope John Paul II, C.S. Lewis and Kahlil Gibran, promotes a world view sacrilegious to some but perfectly natural to Cunningham.

Contrary to popular opinion, nude is not lewd, he insists.

“There's lot of references in the Bible to being naked. In the early church, all Christians were baptized naked — men, women and children. It wasn't an issue.

“My point is that the church, instead of changing the world, has let the world change it. It's accepted (Hustler publisher) Larry Flynt's definition of the body, instead of the Bible's. If the body is just lust bait, then modesty is making sure it's always covered.

Biblical Nudity – Nakedness and The Bible Book Review

Biblical Nudity – Nakedness and The Bible Book Review Biblical Nudity – The book “Nakedness and the Bible” does not claim to be a defense of naturism; it just claims to be an explanation of what the Bible says on both sides of this issue. For some time, people have used the Bible in an attempt to say that naturism is outside God’s law and should not be practiced by Christians. Various people within the nudist movement have praised the book including im-ok-naked.com.  Like them, I add my approval to this work.

Can naturist Christians reclaim the body from over sexualization?

Coming off one of the two most important days on the Christian calendar I found this article on how naturists Christians may be reclaiming the natural Neumann body for over sexualization via

Christian Naturism via the Swinging Bridge a blog of a Mennonite college

While sexuality seems to be taking over the world, some Christians are fighting against oversexualization in unconventional ways.

I know I am not the only one disturbed by the way that sex is taking over society. Once something has been sexualized it can be difficult to reclaim it, but some Christians are going to extreme measure to overcome modern perversity. Christian naturists declare their bodies to not be be sexual objects by abstaining from the wearing of clothing. They live in entirely naked communities, trying to restore innocence to the human body.

The naturist movement spans many denominations of Christianity, including anabaptists. In the 1500s, a group of nudist anabaptists ran through the streets of Amsterdam naked in an attempt to evangelize. Unfortunately, they were later killed for their streaking.

Christian naturists are Christians found in most branches and denominations of Christianity who practice naturism or nudism. They find no conflict between the teachings of the Bible and living their lives and worshiping God without any clothing, believing that covering the body leads to its sexualization. Thus, the common notion that nudity and sexuality go hand-in-hand is seen as a worldly point of view. The Christian definition of the human body should be separate, distinct, and non-materialistic. If clothing truly controlled lust and immoral sexual activity, then these would not be occurring to any great extent.[1]
