IF YOU’VE ever turned up at the pool without your swimming costume, this could be the answer for you.

Naturism, which is enjoyed by over four million people in the UK, is particularly popular in the south.

And once a month they hire out Oaklands Community Pool in Lordshill for a private session.

Last Naked Swim At Newcastle City Pool: Farewell Dip Before Baths Close via Sky News

“It is hard to find places to go, with most modern swimming pools having big glass windows and buildings like the City Pool all closing down.

“That can be sorted by using blinds though, and there’s probably more of an issue with some pools saying we don’t want to be involved, we don’t want naked people in our pool.

“I don’t understand it, we pay thousands every year for it, is our money a different colour to other people’s money?”

Taking Splash as Nudist

Noticeboards at UCPH are full of good and bad offers: travel, jobs, books, therapy etc. But one stands out with its promises of improved self-worth, happiness, self-awareness and social life, the Danish Naturist Association suggests going for a skinny dip. Now that has to be put to the test!

When Frederiksberg Swimming Baths closes, Sunday evening, the Danish Naturist Association is set loose. Every week, they have nude swimming on offer and everyone is invited. They only have one rule; no clothing is allowed.

You can’t tell the difference between people here, and that makes for an entirely different forum in which to talk to each other. You end up looking at personalities,« says Helle, one of the people behind the initiative. I meet her in the mens’ changing room, which houses both genders for the occasion.

Naturist group sets its sights on city with open swim event

NATURISTS are looking to fulfil a naked ambition with an event in Sheffield to recruit more members.
The UK’s official nudist group British Naturism is launching a new venture in the city in a bid to entice new members.

Members of the Yorkshire branch have hired out Chapeltown Baths in Burncross Road for the Sheffield Swim, which will allow them to use the pool and sauna facilities for a session.
Organisers hope to make the event a regular fixture on the British Naturism social calendar, meaning some of its 10,000 members could use the baths as a meeting point

What’s a Nudist to Do? By Nekidgamer

I have always been a home nudist , and my earliest experience was skinny dipping with friends in a local pond. I also would go to friends houses as a teen for sleepovers and we all would skinny dip in the pool or run in the sprinklers. This last year was my first resort experience and I loved it. I would love to try out different nudist and clothing optional venues but I must admit there is some trepidation. I know this is not very acceptable by some nudist to say but I am uncomfortable with the idea of family resorts.

I am concerned with the fact of creepy people checking out kids at resorts and you can’t say there are no pedophiles at nudist resorts its statistically impossible . I’ve met a few so-called male nudist who made inappropriate comments about children giving them erections , or women liking the young boys bodies. I figure if I wouldn’t bring my daughter there then I shouldn’t be there either. I prefer to stay with adults maybe that’s a bit overly cautious but that’s how I feel. I personally think family resorts should have full criminal checks to be members or guests. Read more

Writer loses her body hang-ups to compete in the naturist Olympics

Anyone for breast stroke? Our writer loses her body hang-ups to compete in the naturist Olympics

So I decide it’s time. But how best to do it? Drop it to the waist first? Bare my buttocks before anything else? A rush of adrenaline takes over as, in the end, I whip my towel off like a plaster.
I’m naked! I feel exceedingly pleased with myself. My body feels like a suit of armour – my skin is doing the job my clothes used to do. And my body hang-ups have gone.
In bikinis, I’m forever sucking in my stomach and rearranging my breasts, but naked, there’s nothing to rearrange.
I suddenly feel much bolder and braver than I thought I would.
